Prior to using CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus, these conditions must exist for best results:

• pH of water maintained between 6.5 & 9.0
• Water temperature above 60°F (15°C)
• Dissolved oxygen levels above 3 PPM (3 mg/l)

CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus is an all-natural, freeze-dried bacteria and enzyme complex formulated to remove nasty water and organic sludge. CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus is fortified with several billion bacteria colonies per gram and six (6) enzymes all selected and designed for their waste and green water degrading properties. CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus has among the highest bacteria counts presently available to the water gardening market today. 

When applied to an aquatic system CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus will begin to multiply exponentially and will begin to pull out nutrients and harmful wastes from a pond. These nutrients and wastes usually include organic material, fish wastes, dead plant life, leaves and many other organic materials. These “wastes” are, for all intent and purposes, bacteria food. The six enzymes contained in this product will perform the initial work to begin the breakdown of the waste. The enzymes will act as a “saliva” to breakdown the bulk of the waste so the bacteria can perform there function more easily and efficiently. Once the wastes have been consumed the only bi-products that are excreted by the bacteria are harmless carbon dioxide and water.

Most importantly CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus is fortified with Activated Barley. This product is cultured on barley to assist it in the degradative process. Most bacterias are cultured on whey, which serves no purpose in the pond eco-system. Now not only will the consumer have bacteria and enzymes available in the pond to do the work but also the degradative powers of barley. CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus works to clear brackish water quickly and efficiently resulting in sparkling water year-round. A common misconception is that bacteria will eat living algae when in fact bacteria will not consume anything that is living. “The Pond Owner’s Worst Problem” is often a very hard task for CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus to rid the pond of since it is not suspended. Suspended particles (being much smaller) are much easier to remove than masses of “clumped up” organic. In some instances we have seen the product work to remove this problem but we do not claim this as one of CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus’ benefits.

CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus is designed to perform the functions that the naturally occurring bacteria cannot perform. Most naturally occurring bacteria cannot keep up with the constant load of organics entering the pond. Therefore, it is necessary to inoculate ponds with bacteria and enzyme supplements such as CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus to ensure a clear, healthy system. Application Directions

For each 1000 gallons of water volume in the pond, mix ¼ cup of CrystalClear Biological Clarifier Plus in one gallon of pond water. Broadcast mixture over the entire surface of the pond or apply directly into filter if possible. Use once a week.

For heavy organic loads, increase the application to 1½ of your standard application to achieve the desired water quality. For initial treatment, double the normal application rate.
