To calculate the approximate quantity in
tons of rocks for your pond or water garden feature:
- Boulders in a pond = length
x width /65
- 1/4" to 3" gravel
in a pond = tons of boulders /0.45
- Boulders in a stream = 3/4
ton per 10’ of stream length
- 1/4" to 3" gravel
in a stream = 1/2 ton per 10' of stream length
- 3/4 - 1 1/4 tons of boulders to
surround face of standard waterfall

depending on the type of stone used
