CrystalClear Biological Clarifier is an all-natural, freeze-dried bacteria and enzyme complex formulated to remove organic sludge. CrystalClear Biological Clarifier is fortified with several billion bacteria colonies per gram and six (6) enzymes all selected and designed for their waste degrading properties. CrystalClear Biological Clarifier has among the highest bacteria counts presently available to the water gardening market today. Most freeze-dried bacteria products tend to have much higher bacteria counts than liquid products because the bacteria is sprayed onto a medium, often a wheat bran product. Liquid bacteria products are formulated in, a liquid solution that keeps the bacteria in a somewhat active state. Dry bacteria products remain dormant until they come in contact with water, so the chance for survival in a dry form is greatly enhanced.
When applied to an aquatic system CrystalClear Biological Clarifier will begin to multiply exponentially and will begin to pull out nutrients and harmful wastes from a pond. These nutrients and wastes usually include organic material, fish wastes, dead plant life, leaves and many other organic materials. These "wastes" are, for all intent and purposes, bacteria food. The six enzymes contained in this product will perform the initial work to begin the breakdown of the waste. The enzymes will act as a "saliva" to breakdown the bulk of the waste so the bacteria can perform there function more easily and efficiently. Once the wastes have been consumed the only bi-products that are excreted by the bacteria are harmless carbon dioxide and water. Another small benefit that the bacteria contribute to the pond is that the pH can be lowered with the release of carbon dioxide in the same manner that fish respiration will lower pH.
CrystalClear Biological Clarifier is designed to perform the functions that the naturally occurring bacteria cannot perform. Most naturally occurring bacteria cannot keep up with the constant load of organics entering the pond. Therefore, it is necessary to inoculate ponds with bacteria and enzyme supplements such as CrystalClear Biological Clarifier to ensure a clear, healthy system. CrystalClear Biological Clarifier is 100% safe for fish and plants and performs very well for seeding filters and the entire pond.
For each 1000 gallons of water volume in the pond, mix ¼ cup of CrystalClear Biological Clarifier in one gallon of pond water. Broadcast mixture over the entire surface of the pond or apply directly into filter if possible. Use once a week.
